The Gluten-Free Cookbook

about

Modern Family Table is about celebrating the beauty of savoring fresh, whole foods with the people you love. It caters to an array of food preferences. All recipes are gluten free, many are vegan or vegetarian, and nearly all are paleo. Nevertheless, I find dietary dogma ultimately unsatisfying. At the end of the day, food should give us life. Guilt and fear have no place in my kitchen.
When I'm not cooking or writing, I enjoy traveling with my husband, surfing, reading, playing with my boys, discovering new restaurants, photography, and gardening. I live in California where I work as a freelance writer and photographer and in book editing. If you want to chat, drop me a note at pamela.ellgen(at)gmail.com

The human animal is adapted to, and apparently can thrive on, an extraordinary range of different diets, but the Western diet, however you define it, does not seem to be one of them.
